Safety 1st Fire Services provides engineering services by our qualified engineers and architects to ensure that a structure has the proper fire safety features and systems in place.
Fire Service Engineering is the discipline that is concerned with the safety of buildings, structures, and their occupants during fires. This includes the design, installation, inspection and maintenance of fire protection systems such as sprinklers, fire alarms and automatic fire suppression systems.
Our Fire Service Engineering division provides state-of-the-art fire protection engineering support and consulting services to the fire service in NSW and our expertise includes but not limited to:-
  • Fire sprinkler system design, installation, maintenance and repair
  • Fire alarm system design, installation, maintenance and repair
  • Fire suppression systems design, installation, maintenance and repair
  • Fire hydrant flushing and testing-Fire pump testing
  • Water supply system analysis and design

Ensuring that buildings comply with applicable codes

The Fire Safety Engineer is responsible for providing fire protection engineering services to ensure that buildings comply with applicable codes and regulations in order to minimise the loss of life or property due to fire. The Engineer also provides assistance with planning and design of fire protection systems. The Engineer also participates in system testing and commissioning of new systems.

A vital part of engineering involves designing specific systems to prevent fires from spreading and causing injury or damage during an emergency situation such as a fire or explosion.
